Projects

Sadly, most state governments, who are owners of the famous old schools in Nigeria, are no longer financially buoyant to maintain their schools. The responsibility has, therefore, fallen on the alumni to step in to redeem the image of beloved alma maters.

At Osogbo Grammar School Old Students Association, we have found ourselves in a position in which we have to continually maintain facilities at the alma mater, in addition to assisting students in their learning. OGOS Old Students Association in North America is at the forefront of renovating school facilities and equiping students and the school administration additional resources needed for learning. We are proud to be part of the concerted efforts to maintain the legacy of our heroes past and ensure that the future of the school and a new generation of students is secure.

Main Projects

WAEC Scholarships

As part of our program for creating opportunities for students, we give cash grants to needy students to take WAEC examinations on our tab. Each year, we pay for the registration of 50 or more students for the WASC examination. We are widening our scope of support to student development through direct intervention in teaching, health and personal hygiene – factors that affect learning outcomes.

Infrastructure

Although there is a new large building on the school premises, many of the blocks erected through the school’s humble history are dilapidated. Our plan is to lead in the infrastructural development of the school by renovating old buildings and beautifying them. Our infrastructure projects not only preserve our rich heritage but also ensure there is a conducive environment for learning.

Tutoring & University Schorlarships

OGSOSANA will from 2025 sponsor needy students who gain admission to the university. This new program will ensure students who have proven they can go further in their education but have financial challenges do not fail to complete their education simply because of indigency. We will pay university fees, as long as the student continues to do well through college.
