Sadly, most state governments, who are owners of the famous old schools in Nigeria, are no longer financially buoyant to maintain their schools. The responsibility has, therefore, fallen on the alumni to step in to redeem the image of beloved alma maters.
At Osogbo Grammar School Old Students Association, we have found ourselves in a position in which we have to continually maintain facilities at the alma mater, in addition to assisting students in their learning. OGOS Old Students Association in North America is at the forefront of renovating school facilities and equiping students and the school administration additional resources needed for learning. We are proud to be part of the concerted efforts to maintain the legacy of our heroes past and ensure that the future of the school and a new generation of students is secure.
The Innov8 competition has been brought to Osogbo Grammar School by the 234Project Poundation, a non-profit organization rendering services to young people and schools all over Nigeria.
The 234 Project as the Foundation has sponsored over 500 School Projects in different states in Nigeria. Its 234 Innov8 Challenge provides secondary students nationwide with opportunities to express their creative potential beyond the classroom.
At the 2024 OGSOSANA Reuion in Houston, Texas, USA, the NGO donated the competition to Osograms. It is now off to a good start.
